The stand-alone Africa House at the Royal Malewane offers a true private residential accommodation in the heart of the Greater Kruger National Park. It is located a short distance from the main lodge and provides privacy and space ideal for families with children. The house offers six bedrooms and can comfortably host 12 guests.

This free-standing home spans approximately 680sqm and boasts unique colorful decorations throughout curated by talented owner Liz Biden including antiques and Persian rugs. Upon entering through the tall double North African front door, guests find a fabulous 100sqm stone and grass central courtyard with a fountain, covered veranda, and lounging beds.

The expansive, light-filled living area features comfortable couch seating, exquisite décor and a large dining table with an adjacent fully-equipped kitchen. It is complemented by an equally-impressive outdoor lounge space. This spectacular patio looks out onto the bush and includes an infinity pool, several lounge chairs with umbrellas as well as a covered area with large dining tables and couch seating.

While Africa House provides a perfect environment for a group to enjoy each other’s company, guests also enjoy very comfortable sleeping accommodations, each uniquely designed. Four of the six bedrooms include a four-poster king-size bed while two of the rooms have two double beds. Every bedroom, however, offers outdoor space and a private en-suite bathroom with double vanities, a free-standing bathtub and indoor and outdoor showers. There is also an additional service bedroom with double beds and a private bathroom.

Residents of Africa House are treated to all-inclusive food, drinks and the services of a complimentary private chef, butler, game drive guide and vehicle for multiple excursions per day. Adult guests of the Africa House can also enjoy all of the facilities of the nearby Royal Malewane main lodge such as The Waters of Royal Malewane Bush Spa, offering full-service treatments, an outdoor heated lap pool and a fully-equipped gym.
