The Farmstead
The Farmstead is a luxury safari lodge located in close proximity to the Royal Malewane and is the Royal Portfolio’s most recently developed property, offering extravagant space complemented by a sense of rustic authenticity. The property is made up of three stand-alone one-bedroom Luxury Farm Suites and a three and a half bedroom villa known as The Farmhouse.
Each accomodation offers a private pool and was personally decorated by talented hotel owner Liz Biden. The unique design represents a combination of styles from two other Royal Portfolio properties, The Silo Hotel in Cape Town and La Residence in Franschhoek. Guests of The Farmstead enjoy all-inclusive food and drinks and take part in the same renowned expert game drives as the Royal Malewane. The property boasts inviting offerings including indoor and outdoor lounging and dining areas in addition to exclusive spa treatment rooms and a gym. All common spaces are open to adults only.
The 680sqm Farmhouse instead welcomes guests of all ages. It features three equal-size 54sqm bedrooms, a smaller children’s room, a private deck and a private outdoor pool that extends onto the bush. The Farmhouse also offers exclusive private services including a dedicated butler, chef, housekeeper as well as private vehicle, ranger and tracker.
Additionally, adult guests can enjoy the Royal Malewane’s main lodge facility, including the dining and bar areas boasting a magical backdrop of the lodge’s wildlife watering hole. The Waters of Royal Malewane Bush Spa, offering full-service treatments, an outdoor heated lap pool and a fully-equipped gym, is also not to be missed.
