The Fasano Rio de Janeiro Hotel’s 70sqm Ocean Front Suite was designed by French interiors specialist Philippe Starck, who was inspired by the golden age of Bossa Nova in the 1950’s. The suite's living room boasts sensational direct ocean views from floor-to-ceiling windows as well as the outdoor balcony with lounge chairs and additional seating. Inside, the living room features a comfortable lounging area set upon arc of plush carpet with an adjacent three-seat dining table, writing desk and a private bar made of Chinese onyx. Starck’s Dali-esque ear-shaped mirrors, meanwhile, add a unique touch of personality. 

Though the expansive use of polished hardwood flooring creates a feeling of a single unified space, the living area and bedroom are divided by a retractable curtain providing privacy for the suite’s bedroom with ocean-facing king-size bed. The adjacent master bathroom is finished in marble and includes a bathtub, large walk-in rain shower, vanity desk and separate WC. There is also a guest toilet for added convenience. 

When not enjoying their suite, guests can relax on the hotel’s gorgeous rooftop, where they have exclusive use of the infinity-edged pool, or at the hotel’s Spa Fasano. They can also take advantage of the property’s Marea Beach Club across the street, offering beach chairs, umbrellas and a restaurant. On-site dining options at the hotel include the trendy Gero, offering Italian and international cuisine.
