Not worth your money.

I had been wanting to stay at Le Sirenuse for a while and had high expectations, especially given the prices they charge. The hotel is aesthetically very photogenic, but pretty much run down as a structure. Most of the rooms offer unobstructed views of the town of Positano and the sea and the location is quite comfortable as it offers a walking distance from the beach and the main attractions. On the other hand it does not offer any privacy. Staff is quite rude, probably because they are overrun by tourist dropping in for photos. It is a small property, by opening their restaurants to outsiders they cannot guarantee any kind of privacy to hotel guests. The pool (quite small) is located right next to the crowded restaurant and offers a very small number of chairs with no possibility to book them. The gym and spa are nothing extraordinary. Their policy claims that there is an age restriction but I was kept awake all nights by a baby crying in the room on top of me. Not to mention the noises coming from the boats in the harbor. Positano offers other two exceptional hotels I had the change to try over the years: Il San Pietro di Positano and Villa Treville. Located a little more privately outside of the center but both offering complimentary 5-10 min transfers to the center of the town.
