An evening at the Parco dei Principi.
Stayed: January 2013I was able to secure a last minute accommodation at the Parco dei Principi as there was an issue with the keys to the apartment I was originally staying at. It was a late evening arrival, but I was greeted by an attentive and helpful staff. My room was clean, traditionally designed in elegant red and gold. As is the case with many hotels in Italy, the bathroom contained shower / bathtub combination, which may not be ideal for everyone. The pool area is quiet and secluded, with a number of chairs and covered beds. Day passes are available for purchase by non-guests, space permitting. The lobby bar and lounge are classic Italian hotel design, and a great meeting place for drinks and lounging. The hotel is located adjacent to the Villa Borghese gardens, which provides one easy walking access to the beautiful park, including the Galleria Borghese. You can also access the center of Rome through the park, letting you out at the Piazza del Popolo and Spanish steps.
